production unit xero(p.u.x) is ramon mills as the driving creative force; programmer, producer engineer, and performer.
it all started in fall of 2001. after being in a few industrial bands in gainesville, fl, in the late 1990's, mills
decided it was time to follow his own vision. taking influences from industrial, idm, and the background noise of the
dieing florida rave scene, mills set out to make deep and expressive music that crosses the lines of form, genre, and
reality itself.
the music of production unit xero is a spiritual environment, frequencies that transform the space and time around
you into an ethereal dream scape. flowing, soulful ambient textures lead into broken, decimated rhythms and fractals
of passing thoughts. music to reach the soul, captivate the mind and move the body.
over the past 5 years mills has been laying down a path for himself. as production unit xero, he has performed many
live p.a's all over the southeast (fl, nc, sc, tn)along with playing clubs, coffee houses, and bars. pux was honored
to play for veteran NASA astronaut richard hieb at the roper mountain science center in greenville, sc. mills also
performed as a member of the darkwave industrial band the eyelash carpets at the 2006 voodoo fest in new orleans.
after self releasing 13 albums over the past 6 years 2006 has brought the first label releases for production
unit xero.
the "silver and salt" ep and it's follow up full length "tiger and the sloth" were released on heterodox records.
and the single "dex" was release on "hello? future" by the radical turf label. Dropped a free download on BFC entitled post hermetic hardcore.
